Merry Christmas!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone had an amazing christmas! This week
has been so fun! We had a christmas conference this week that was a
blast. It was really fun to just gather with so many other
missionaries and just let loose for 3 hours. We also did the Haka and
it was awesome! I was so nervous but i thought it turned out pretty
good. I also was the hula hoop champion haha. We also had an amazing
training that i feel like will help us succeed even more.

The work during this last week was hard. No one was really interested
at all in meeting with us. We were expecting so many people to come to
church yesterday and no one did it was sad. This week has been crazy
though. Weve heard some gun shots and met a lady who's window to her
car got shot out. Its crazy! Even though it is a bit sketchy in some
parts of our area i love going to them. The people there are so
receptive. Its sad to see what some of the kids have to go through.

Christmas here was awesome! I was so nervous to skype home haha. When
we Skyped it was so amazing to see everyone. I think the weirdest
thing is seeing how much everyone is changing!

Ive been focusing so much this week on my purification process. Its
been amazing and so humbling to break down where im messing up at, and
work towards eliminating those things. Applying the enabling power of
the atonement has been so amazing.

Merry Christmas

Well I'm sorry this is so short we haven't had much time write today.
This week has been pretty good we had so many lessons this week it's
been amazing! I'm loving the work out here. This week I saw quite a
few personal trials that have been extremely tough, but I'm working
through it! I love the lord and this work. I've been thinking so much
about the enabling power of the atonement. With this 40 day fast I've
really been applying it so much more. It's been extremely humbling to
take a self evaluation and look at where I'm at, and work to overcome
them. The spirit has been so much abundant in our work and it's a huge
blessing.

A quick miracle story is a lady named Paula. She is so prepared it's
been so awesome to teach her. She was a referral and she actually went
online and requested a Book of Mormon herself. It's been awesome to
meet with her. That's just one of the many miracles we've been seeing.
Fun time this week was my exchange with Elder Muir he's so awesome
he's been out almost 2 months and our exchange was lots of fun.

New Albany

This week has been awesome!! I've really enjoyed working with my new
companion so much. It's been so weird that we're already three weeks
into the transfer and I've only been here a week haha. I love my new
area it's so awesome. The members here are super cool and this ward
reminds me of a ward from Utah. The only problem here is how cold it
is here it's gotten really cold! I'm just glad we don't have snow
that's really nice haha. Being a bike missionary has been very
interesting. It's been tough but it's been really good. The only
problem is my knee has been killing but that's okay!

The best part of this week has to be by far the kids that we found the
first night that I was here. They are so awesome! We've been able to
have three lessons with them and they are so prepared to be baptized
it's amazing. They are brothers named Jeremiah and Antoine. Jeremiah
is 12 and Antoine is 9. We had a Christmas party as well this week and
they brought their cousins and it was so fun. They had me do the JuJu
with some of their friends and it was funny. I think my favorite part
about them is they just think I'm the coolest person alive and it
makes me feel so good haha.

Another awesome thing that happened this week is our zone is starting
what we're calling the purification process. It's super awesome. It's
a 40 day fast that you do from things that poke at your ability to
feel the spirit. So I fasted and made a list of things that poke at it
and I've started doing it and it's been amazing so far. I've felt the
spirit more already and it's been a day. I'm so excited to how the
rest of it goes!

Week

This week was crazy! I spent most of my time in the hospital so that
was really weird. i was basically in limbo. I stayed the whole week
until Saturday with Jerry. I really enjoyed it even though it was
super sad. I had a good time just hanging out with Jerry for so long
before i got transferred.

The miracle story of this week is Jerry! So the update on him is his
cancer was healed! It was such a miracle to have that happen! I
couldn't  believe it. Its just so awesome to see the Lord work in
people's lives!

I got to my area on Saturday and it's been great so Far! I'm really
excited to work here. The members are awesome and actually pretty
normal haha. We ate dinner at a members house and they were actually
from West Jordan so that was cool! We play a lot of basketball here as
well which is so fun! I'm really excited to work with elder Frogget.
He's cool and fun! Sorry this was so short I didn't have much time to
write it. I'm excited for New Albany and know we're going to have big
things happen because we have the faith to Do it! Love you all!

​The cute boy on the left is Elder Butikofer, who went to Murray High and served in the Louisville, Kentucky mission from 2014-2016.  He flew in to see Jerry.  Moses said it was strange to see someone from home. hahaha
