This week has been awesome!
I was so scared on Tuesday to get my new companion, but also super excited. When we went in to find out who our trainees were the only thing i wanted was that Elder Illingsworth and I would train MTC companions. We went in and guess what we got companions! I was so happy!
Training has been so awesome, i love it so much. Elder Lamoreaux is so awesome. He is so humble and so full of charity to everyone. Its been amazing and so scary to be training. Its definitely been such a humbling experience. Ive been able to grow so much more as a missionary training.
I love our district so much its been such a blast. Our new district leader has been so awesome. His name is Elder Haws he was adopted from Ethiopia when he was 15 hes been so fun to serve around.
This week has been a good week for someone to start there mission. I got a flat tire while it was raining so we had to walk 15 minutes soaking wet to a members house. Its been raining all week so we have been soaking its been awesome! We also got kicked out of Walmart's parking lot so that was fun too haha.
Something cool that happened this week, is we haven't been able to contact this referral that we received at all. We've tried calling her and we went to her house a few times as well. I went on to Facebook and found her profile and messaged her and she was so excited to hear from us! She went to church on Sunday and loved it and we taught her through video chat on Facebook it was awesome!
This week has kind of been a bummer though we've dropped so many people its been sad. We have been teaching two kids who are so interested in learning, and both of their parents told us not to come back. One of their situations just kills me. He is a 15 kid who smokes, drinks, and is a drop out of school. We taught him the first lesson and he committed to quit smoking and drinking so he could get baptized. Then to have his mom tell us that was so frustrating.
I'm loving the work out here and having so much fun. I love you all and miss you all! hope yall have a great week!
